Clam Supply
Since planting our first clams in 1983, we’ve grown from a few hundred thousand to producing over 150 million seed clams each year. Every winter through spring, our hatchery spawns seed that is later planted in the waters of the Eastern Shore.
Seaside Clams
Top Necks: 5 to 7 per lb 1/2 inch hinge
Middle Necks: 7 to 9 per lb 1/4 inch hinge
(Specials or Choice)
Little Necks: 9 to 12 per lb ~1 inch hinge
Packaging
The seed we raise is shared among JC Walker Brothers, our cooperative growers, and local clam farmers. After 24 to 36 months in the ocean, clams are harvested, graded as Little, Middle, or Top Neck, and packed under our Seaside Brand label.
Customer Commitment
We promise to deliver clams raised only in natural ocean waters, never with additives, antibiotics, or growth hormones. Through careful breeding and selection, we ensure every Seaside clam meets our standards for taste, quality, and sustainability.
