Our crews leave Willis Wharf each day, traveling north to Quinby before heading seven miles by boat toward the Atlantic. There, in the mile-wide Little Machipongo Inlet, we harvest clams year-round in clean, open waters.
Harvesting Clams
Our clams carry a distinct brine, shaped by the Little Machipongo Inlet and the untouched Virginia Barrier Islands. They grow in waters protected by The Nature Conservancy’s Virginia Coast Reserve and are monitored and certified safe by the Virginia Department of Health.
Year-Round Harvest
Our beds lie in the heart of an internationally recognized biosphere, where water quality stays consistently high. Unlike more populated areas, only small perennial streams reach these remote estuaries, keeping them among the cleanest on the East Coast.
Exceptional Taste
Seaside Brand clams remain in protected waters until harvested, then are quickly graded and packed to order. We offer Little, Middle, and Top Neck clams in any combination our customers need.
